“Samanwaya”, Biotechnology Association Day celebrations
“Samanwaya”, Biotechnology Association Day celebrations was held in VM Hall, UC College on August 26, 2017. The programme was inaugurated Prof. P. Jacob Kurien, Retired Professor Zoology at 11:00 am. During the event Dr. Thomas Mathew (Principal) released book “Cepantia” – A collection of articles , drawings etc by the students of the department.
Prof.C.M.Mathew (retired Professor) Dr. Thomas Mathew (Principal), Rev.Fr. Thomas Paul (Manager), Dr.Thara K.Simon (Bursar & Asso. Professor, Dept. of Botany), Dr. Shirley Thomas (HOD, Dept. of Zoology), Mrs. Asha M.P (HOD, Dept. of Biotechnology) addressed the gathering.
The teaching staff of the department Mr. Varghese Thomas, Dr. Sareen Sarah John,Mrs. Geethu Paul, Ms. Bincy Jacob, Mrs. Sherin Annie Abraham, Ms. Aswathy Joshi and non-teacing staff Dhanya and Aiswarya were were actively involved in the managing the function. It is a matter of pleasure that large number of Former students of the department had attended the function. The cultural events included group dance, drama, songs by the students.
